The entire MCC San Antonio family would like to express our sincere, heartfelt condolences to our friend and colleague Deb Myers, Dignity San Antonio and the family of Nickie Valdez who entered eternal life on Christmas Day.
Nickie was a pioneer in the movement for equality for LGBTQ+ people in San Antonio as a co-founder of Dignity, a group that welcomes all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex Catholics, as well as anyone else wishing to attend. Nickie was a tireless and dedicated advocate for our community and we are grateful for all that she has done for social justice and the rights of all our citizens. She leaves a legacy of faith and a commitment to inclusion. Thanks so much. Love and Blessings

Did you know you can get tested for COVID once a week at one of three Community Labs sites for asymptomatic testing? With results in 24 hours? For free? Not free "with most insurances." Free, period, full stop.
This is a great resource for San Antonio and one that not many other places in the country have. The testing sites are at the AT&T Center, and the Ramirez and Cuellar Community Centers. All sites are open for walk-in only, no appointments taken or required, Monday through Friday. AT&T operates 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The community centers operate 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We at MCCSA are doing our best to navigate these uncertain times. As we stand together, we will all get through this.
We would like to share some resources during this time of social distancing. For updates on the MCC denomination and encouraging words from our leadership, follow the Metropolitan Community Church Denomination Facebook page.
