Weddings and Commitment Services
We believe that a Loving and Wise God has called people into families of many shapes, sizes, and configurations. Here at MCC San Antonio we take great joy in affirming and celebrating healthy relationships no matter whether they are between single persons or people of the same or different gender identities or expressions. Our goal is to be a spiritual support for those who desire to publicly acknowledge and celebrate their love and the relationship that God has called forth in their lives. We want to help you have an experience of love and joy on your special day whether it is a simple ceremony with just a few friends or your “dream wedding” with hundreds of guests. Please contact the church office for a Guide to Weddings, Blessings and other Rites of Celebration. |
Baptisms and Christenings
Baptism is considered a Sacrament in the MCC Movement as in other Christian churches. We believe that the baptism of water is an outward sign of an inward spiritual experience. The baptism of water involves the marking of the sign of the cross with water upon the person’s forehead. MCC San Antonio recognizes baptisms performed by other churches if it is meaningful to the individual. In the case of infants and children, we will hold the Sacrament of Christening or Dedication. Baptisms and Christenings are generally conducted as part of our Sunday Worship service. To schedule a Baptism or a Christening please contact the Church Office. |
Funerals and Memorials
Saying goodbye to our loved ones is never easy, but giving them a proper farewell to celebrate the lives they’ve lived is something we do together. To honor those who have passed on, it's our privilege to accommodate funerals and memorial services. If you’d like more information, please call us or send us an email. |
